There may be no reason for alarm. Since all viruses use bogus emails in the From line, the e-mail may not have been generated by yourself at all. Hackers are now using valid, publicly available, e-mail addresses to send out viruses. If you are certain that you do not have a virus, or do not know the people that a specific e-mail was purported to have been sent to, the e-mail and attachment likely did not come from your system. The following is a sample of such e-mail. Do not waste your time looking for a virus on your system, if you know that you were not the originator of the e-mail in question.
